AWARDS

2010 Utah Heritage Foundation recognized Envision Engineering for their work on the adaptive reuse of the Ellsworth J. Beggs House and National Garage, preserving the centerpiece of Park City’s oldest residential area on Park Avenue. Thank you to Justin Bowcutt and Jeff Owen for their work on this effort.


Illuminating Engineering Society of North America recognized Chad Walker, AE, for his lighting design work on the Gold Door Spa at Dakota Mountain Lodge in May of 2010.


Envision Engineering chosen as TOP ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING FIRM for 2010 by IEA, Utah. Once again, we are pleased and humbled to receive this award. Thank you to our design and engineering partners who voted for our team!


Jeff Owen, Managing Principal of Envision Engineering Receives the Delamar Holt Service to the Industry Award!
This award is given annually and is the Association’s most prestigious recognition. It is reserved to honor an individual that has throughout their career demonstrated an extraordinary level of community and industry leadership and service.


Envision Engineering was recognized in March with a patriotic award by the National Committee for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve for contributing to national security and protecting liberty and freedom by supporting employees deployed to serve in Iraq.


Envision Engineering received an award for "Best Institutional project" for the 55,000 SF U of U Carolyn Irish Tanner Humanities Building by the Intermountain Electrical Association of Utah. This project received an Honor Award by the American Institute of Architects earlier this year. (Architect of Record, CRSA, Utah). This facility was one of the first buildings to be designed utilizing the State of Utah’s new High Efficiency Building Standards. To this end, high efficiency lighting design methods were utilized, as well as HVAC integration into the occupancy detection controls.

Envision Engineering was recently recognized by the Intermountain Electrical Association as the “Most Outstanding Electrical Engineering Firm of the Year” for 2009. This prestigious award is given as recognition of outstanding performance in the areas of professionalism, superior customer service and commitment to excellence. Envision Engineering was chosen for their valuable contribution to the electrical industry.


U of U Carolyn Tanner Irish Humanities Building: AIA, Utah presented Architects CRSA with an Honor Design Award for this project. We are proud to have been a part of this design team.

Heritage Award: Fort Douglas Post Chapel (2002 Athlete’s Center of Worship)
The Utah Heritage Foundation presented Owen & Associates (now Envision Engineering) with a 2002 Heritage Award for the Fort Douglas Post Chapel (which also became the athletes center of worship for 2002). The award recognizes work on an outstanding project or action furthering the promotion and protection of Utah’s architectural and cultural heritage

Salt Lake City International Airport Terminal Canopy Lighting International Illuminating Design Award – Section Award
David P. Whitton, PE, LC, LEED® AP, Principal, was recognized at the Illuminating Engineering Society’s International Illuminating Design Awards with a 2004 Utah Section Award for his lighting design of the SLC International Airport’s Terminal Canopy Lighting.

Draper City Hall International Illuminating Design Award – Participation Award
Envision’s Ron Wamsley, LC, Senior Lighting Designer, earned a 2004 Participation Award at the local International Illuminating Design Awards for his design work on the new Draper City Hall. ASWN+ was the architect for the project; Draper City participated as Owner.

Salt Lake City International Airport Ramp Lighting
International Illuminating Design Award – Section Award

Both David P. Whitton, PE, LC, LEED® AP, Principal, and Mr. John K. Cluff, PE, Principal were honored with a 2004 Section Award at our chapter’s International Illuminating Design Awards for the SLC International Airport’s Ramp Lighting Project. The awards are held annually by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America, beginning at the grassroots. Our team is proud to be a member of this organization, which not only honors design excellence but sets the standards for lighting design at a national level.


Heritage Award: LDS 10th Ward Renovation
The Utah Heritage Foundation presented Owen & Associates (now Envision Engineering) with a 2000 Heritage Award for the LDS Tenth Ward Renovation Project. The award recognizes work on an outstanding project or action furthering the promotion and protection of Utah’s architectural and cultural heritage.


RC Willey Distribution Center
International Illuminating Design Award – Utah Section Award Envision Engineering’s Team (as Owen & Associates) received a 1999 Utah Section Award at the International Illuminating Design Awards for the RC Willey Distribution Center. The award is provided by the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America. The project architect was Valentiner Crane Brunjes Onyon Architects; project warehouse consultants were USSI.
