Djibouti Salt Facilities

1 of 1

For centuries, nomads have dropped down from the rocky hills to carve bricks of salt from an ancient lake and haul them away on the backs of camels. Our team is pleased to be part of a new $70 million operation to industrialize the collection of Djibouti’s plentiful salt. There is 50 square miles of salt. It runs 20 to 30 feet deep. Our team recently completed a programming study for three salt sites in Djibouti, Africa; the Central compound, Lake Assol Facility, and the Port Facility. Our report included Prime Power Generator Recommendations for each of the three sites. Also included were recommendations for industrial controls and automation, lighting, communications, and more.
