Sorenson Legacy Foundation Center for Clinical Excellence

Utah State University | Logan, Utah

Designed and built for the College of Education and Human Services, the $29 million, 4-story, 100,000 SF facility brings clinics that were scattered across campus into one state-of-the-art building. The award-winning center offers vocational and graduate student training, clinical research, and community outreach and treatment services within six clinics: autism; family and human development; aging and memory; health and exercise science; speech, language, and hearing services; and persons with disabilities.

Envision provided effective and comprehensive electrical engineering design for the multi-use building which also includes a 10,000 SF underground parking garage. The two wings of the building, with over 350 rooms, provide open solar access, views, and are connected by full height, glass skywalks. The building entrance welcomes visitors with an open-air courtyard “healing garden” entrance. The highly energy efficient building features systems that effectively reduced energy use by 22%.
